300 Artificial Luxury Islands For Sale

“Dubai’s development ‘The World’ offers 300 artificially created islands for investors and the ultra-rich. Islands are arranged to mimic the shape of continents thus the name of the project.”

They already have a set of islands created called The Palms. This country caught my attention awhile back when I saw a TLC or Discovery channel special about the architectural design that went into the building/structure shaped like a sail. This is truly impressive. They are really putting that oil money to use.

I’d like to see something like that on a smaller scale here in the US. I’m not super rich and I just can’t see myself living in the Persian Gulf. Someone needs to get this going out here. Digg post
